Blanche Gilmore Kehoskie, 91, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Auburn Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Higgins Gilmore.
After attending school, she was employed at the Nye & Wait Carpet Co. and the International Harvester. She was an excellent cook and baker and resided in the Town of Throop on a 76 acre family farm for over 60 years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and her pets, especially horses and was a member of Weedsport Presbyterian Church.
Blanche is survived by her brother Robert (Virginia) Gilmore, nieces Ferne Twomey, Diane Paxhia & Rosemary Cuadros, nephew Joseph Paxhia, granddaughters Sarah & Amanda Kehoskie and great grandchildren William, Grace & Brody. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Peter, son Donald, sister Bernita Paxhia and brother Charles Gilmore.
There will be a calling hour on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m with a memorial service to follow at the Langham Funeral Home, 75 E. Genesee St., Auburn, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fingerlakes SPCA. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron, NY. Visit www.Langhamfuneralhomellc.com to leave a condolence.
