Obituary of Helen Irene Lepak

Helen Irene Lepak, 61, of State Rt 34B, Auburn, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Auburn, Helen was the daughter of the late Phares and Elma Atkins White. Helen was a graduate of Jordan Elbridge High School and Geneva School of Nursing. She was previously employed with Egelston Children's Hospital in Atlanta, GA and was an LPN and a medical records coder for many years at Auburn Memorial Hospital. She worked for Medical Coding Service (E4E) in Baldwinsville for many years prior to becoming ill. Spending time with her family and her husband, John, whom she married in 1990, is was what Helen cherished most. Simple pleasures such as going out to dinner and experiencing new adventures is what she enjoyed. She had a love for animals and was particularly fond of her pet cat Lily. She is survived by her loving husband John G. Lepak, two brothers, Robert (Lugene) White of Montezuma and Phares (Ruth) White of Columbus, OH and by several nieces and nephews. There are no calling hours. Friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, March 12 at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church, 112 South St., Auburn, NY 13021. Spring burial will be in Fleming Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to American Cancer Society in Helen's memory. Langham Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
