Mrs. Alma M. Foster,95 of Geneva died 4-24-16. She was born in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of John G. and Anna Leith Stern. She was the widow of Watson G. Foster who died in 1977. She was predeceased by a brother, Ensign John Leith Stern, U.S.N. in 1944. Mrs. Foster had been an elder in the Presbyterian Church at Cayuga and also at Union Springs. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Union Springs. She was a member of the Springport Senior Citizens and Unit 97 of the American Legion Auxiliary. Together with her husband she had served for 15 years as a 4-H club leader and had been active with Literacy Volunteers. She also was a regular volunteer at Westminster Manor. She graduated from Auburn Community College in 1964. She retired from Cayuga County Health Dept. in 1987. She is survived by a son John Leith Foster, and his wife Luisa, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and by a son Randolph H. Foster and his wife Julie of Chesapeake, Virginia and a daughter, Elaine Goria of Geneva. She also leaves 4 grandsons Joseph and Christopher Foster of N.J. and Eric Goria of Auburn and Mark Goria of Canandaigua and one grand-daughter, Amanda Susanne McCammon of VA .She also leaves 10 great- children. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church of Christ in Union Springs on May 1st at 1:00. The Rev. Winifred Nelson will be officiating. Private burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Cayuga. Arrangements entrusted to the Langham Funeral Home,LLC
