Harolyne Grant posted a condolence
Saturday, November 26, 2016
Dear Elaine, Shawn and Jeffrey, Shari, Laurie-&-Joe, Burt-&-Kay, Susan-&-Tom, and Family and Friends:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Glenn on May 2, 2016. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but at 54 years of age, death is nothing short of a tragedy. Even though I did not know Glenn personally, please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Bible that bring comfort, thoughts that others have shared with me when I lost loved ones.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sicknesses like cancer, and death--not God (Hebrews 2:14). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Glenn (and countless millions of others, including George and Sally) will be resurrected to enjoy it! Remember Jesus' words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected." Until then Glenn, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and healthy Glenn. And, ... if you would ever like to know more about when and how our Creator Jehovah will bring about these wonderful blessings (or why He has allowed sickness, suffering and death since Adam and Eve sinned so long ago), please feel free to contact me at the address below.
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

To Michael Family,
I just learned of Mike's passing. I went to Danvers High with Mike, and remember him as a great kid who was good to me during a tough time for a geeky High Schooler. I remember how smart he was and a great athlete. I see he went on to do great things in sports, and medicine - and to the most important thing of all one can accomplish. A loving family.
I always knew he would be successful. We are the same age, and it is tragic that he left so soon. So young. We were not close friends, but I remember You Mike. Roaming the Halls of the High School, wearing ties on game day, and the cafeteria. One's spirit and memories live on. My sincerest condolences to the family.

I was so very sad to learn of Mike's passing. I enjoyed brief moments of Cambridge and Boston's memories while escaping the Auburn ER chaos while on duty. I think we had an immediate kinship when I told him I was born at Mt Auburn Hospital,Cambridge. I made excuses to "review an xray" and sit for some home news and R and R. I am sure he will be sadly missed. I know he had an a positive impact on his patients and his fellow physicians. He made my days in the ER that much better. I was unable to attend his services last week because I was in Cambridge,MA

Mike will always be remembered as a great teammate and friend. In our days together on the Dartmouth Hockey Team he was a great leader with a tireless work ethic. He was there for you too when things got a little rough on the ice.
It was great recently to spend precious moments with Mike and Ellie and the boys at his "home rink" seeing the loves in his life.
I was lucky to have had a person of such integrity and humility in my life to call a friend.
Rest in peace, Palms.

Elaine, Shawn, Jeff, Bob & Madeleine,
We are so very sorry for the loss of Mike, he was such a wonderful guy and he was always someone that I went looking for at the kid's games to spend time with. I'm so thankful that Jack was able to get to know Mike and get to see what a truly exceptional person he was - something Marie and I knew right away. I'm lucky to have spent a fair amount of time with Shawn & Jeff and can see all of the benefits of Mike's kindness and humility in them. He will be forever in our thoughts, and we can only hope that we can offer some help to try to ease your burden.

The Buells are fortunate to consider Mike and family our friends. I'm not sure I've ever met a more humble person in my life. One would have never known of his athletic prowess or Ivy League background without inquiring. I certainly didn't until my son shared. Having spent time in the stands of different high school athletic events with him, you could tell what a proud Poppa he truly was. He had reason to be, as both Jeff and Shawn are fine young men. His example will continue to remind me of what is truly important in life.
