Obituary of Marleah Ann Reed

Marleah Ann Roof Reed , 84 formerly of Standart Woods Auburn died Friday April 14, 2017 in the Commons on St. Anthony. Mrs. Reed was born in Syracuse the daughter of the late George J. and Ruth E. Roof. Marleah lived in the Auburn area for most of her life. A graduate of West High School also attended Auburn Business School. Marleah retired in 1994 from the Syracuse Newspapers as an advertising account executive in the Auburn office where she had work for more than 37 years. Marleah was a member and secretary – treasurer of the Auburn Press Club. She was also a member of W. Mynderse Rice Post 97 Auxiliary and was also a former Girl Scout and leader. In addition to her parents, Marleah was predeceased by her husband Earl in 1983 and her brother George C. Roof. Survived by two daughters , Deborah (Grafton) Robinson of Union Springs and Dawn (Randy) Bulmer of Moravia; brothers Dalton J. Roof of North Syracuse and Ronald L. Roof of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Judith, Stephen, and Sara Kelsey all of Moravia and Grafton W. Robinson of Chicago; 3 Great- Children Brianna Kelsey, Alyssa Polec and Brycen McGraw; sister – in law Myrna K. Roof of Georgetown, SC; three step – children, Earline Wood of Texas, Sharon Millett of Maine and Michael C. Reed of Arizona; several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday April 19, 2017 from 4-6 pm in the Langham Funeral Home, LLC 75 E. Genesee St. Auburn with funeral services immediately following Mrs. Reed calling hours. Burial will be in Fort Hill Cemetery. Family has requested in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Please
