Obituary of Patricia A. Desautels
Patricia Clancy Desautels, the smallest but sweetest, most giving person in our lives left us on Friday, November 9, 2018. Patty might have been small but she had a huge amount of love in her heart for others. She fought from the time of her birth on May 31,1953 as a preemie back in a day when a 6 month birth rarely survived. Our father said she was so tiny that he held her in his one hand and our mother always had a special place in her heart for Patty. We never begrudged her that, it was understood. She was our constant reminder of holidays and pretty much the reason we actually got together for them. She was and will always be a reminder to us that family is the reason for the season. In 1983 she found and married the love of her life, Noel Desautels. Patty worked at what was then, The Home. Later they moved to Portsmouth, NH where she worked at Winnacunnet High School. In recent years they moved back to Auburn where she went back to work at the Faatz Crofut Home and only retired from there a few months ago.
She was predeceased by her mother and father, Jean and Ed Clancy. She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Noel, her sisters, Maureen Clancy Timian (Richard) and Mary Beth Clancy Adams (Jim). Bringing her so much joy over the years, she leaves behind her nephew John Timian (Sarahanne), niece Janis Timian Baker (Michael), great nephews Luke and Owen Timian and her great niece Grace Baker.
We shall have a hole in our hearts forever for our ‘little’ sister Patty.
The life that I have
Is all that I have
And the life that I have
Is yours.
The love that I have
Of the life that I have
Is yours and yours and yours. A sleep I shall have
A rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause. For the peace of my years
In the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours. Leo Marks
