Obituary of Stanley L. Burlingame, Sr.

Stanley L. Burlingame, 94, of Clark Street Rd. passed away January 30, 2019. Born in Montezuma, he was the son of the late Leo and Lucy Fitchpatrick Burlingame. Stanley was a retired farmer with HC Hemingway Company and later a truck driver for Red Star and a crane operator for Roth Steel. Stanley was the last remaining charter member of the Aurelius Volunteer Fire Dept which was founded in 1945.

Surviving are five children, Mary (Paul) Saxton, Stanley (Carol) Burlingame, Jr., Edna Netti, Linda (Dennis) Decker and James Burlingame; a son-in-law, John Burtless; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Jane Taylor Burlingame, a daughter, Lois Burtless, a grandson-in-law Cristopher Walczyk, a great granddaughter, Josephine Burtless and by his sisters Katherine Smith and Esther Cady.
