Obituary of Muriel Loveland
T Muriel Loveland, 97, formerly of Auburn, of Seneca Hill Manor, Oswego, passed away on May 28, 2019. She was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late George and Annie (Chambers) MacDavitt and was a graduate of East High School. In her earlier yeas she worked as a waitress and cashier for 22 years at the former Holiday House at the Port Byron NYS Thruway exit. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and SS Peter & John Episcopal Church. She was active in the March of Dimes, and enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, musicals, traveling and genealogy.
She is survived by her five children, Diane (Thomas) Fitzsimmons, Deborah Millard, David (Kathy) Loveland, Douglas (Ruth) Loveland and Duane Loveland; a brother, Donald (Patricia) MacDavitt, a sister- in- law Ruth MacDavitt; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Whitman Loveland of 65 years and by two brothers, Richard and George Frederick MacDavitt.
