This picture of Joyce was taken in 1989 by our first cousin Ed Bergo. His wife Phyllis is on Joyce's left.

This is also a picture of Joyce from her 80th birthday celebration - on Sunday at her house. I thought this was a good picture of her.

Wanted to share a picture of Joyce on her 80th birthday - with Bill, Gill, and Freelon F. behind her. This was at Elderberry Pond, which Joyce and my father both enjoyed very much. She chose this restaurant for her celebration. Thank you all for the condolences and memories of Joyce.

Ever since they met as fellow-students at Keuka College, Joyce and my sister Marilou were loyal friends. Because of their friendship I got to know and become friends with Joyce too. When I moved from Syracuse to Auburn, Joyce warmly welcomed me and invited me to join her and her other friends to attend shows at the Merry-Go-Round Theater. Over time we also had fun celebrating holidays and birthdays together. I particularly felt a kinship with Joyce because of our mutual love of birds, dogs and flowers, Joyce had a quick wit and a brilliant mind. She made a positive contribution to any endeavor she took on. Joyce was a remarkable person who I will never forget! Our Town of Owasco has lost one of its most precious residents.

I worked with Joyce for 32 years at Alco (Bombardier) and would visit her after we both retired. She loved her home, her yard and her birds. She was a very independent lady. She spoke often of her step-children and was proud of their accomplishments. My condolences to the family.

Joyce was a wonderful and caring woman. I will always cherish the memories of working with her at Bombardier/ALCO! She was serious and dedicated to her work but always had time to share a laugh or story. R.I.P. Joyce.

I met Joyce through one of her caregivers 4 years ago. We enjoyed many conversations about our mutual acquaintances, my experiences working at Columbian Rope and discussing current events. She liked the occasional tour in my car, listing to the oldies on the radio. I will miss my nightly visits with her.

I was so blessed to have known and worked with Joyce during my administration at The Home. She was a vibrant, energized, eloquent person and always willing to lend a hand and an ear. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family.
