Obituary of Roberta Elizabeth Cramer

Roberta Elizabeth Cramer, 89, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter on October 19, 2023. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late James and Emily (Gagnier) Fares and was a graduate of Central High School.

She was active in volunteer work, especially the American Red Cross and in her earlier years was a Girl Scout/Brownie Leader and was employed at The Big Store. She loved watching all sports, especially Raiders football and Syracuse basketball. Roberta had a love for animals, fondly her two cats, Dexter and Midnight.

She is survived by her three children, Judith (William) Merritt, James Cramer, Jeanne (Robert) Hering; grandchildren, James (Eileen) Cramer, Andrea (William) Ruff, Jonathan Cramer, Peter (Erin) Cramer, Jacob (Brittany) Cramer, Nicholas Cramer, Jenna (Jonathan Bergman) Shorkey and 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Charlene Redar and a special niece Genene Redar.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was predeceased by her husband George Cramer in 2020, a brother James Fares and a sister Rita Fares.

Friends are invited to visit the family on Tuesday, October 24 from 11am to noon at Langham Funeral Home, LLC with a funeral service to follow at 12:15pm. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice in memory of Roberta.
