So sorry to hear about the passing of Lissa. My heart breaks with this news. As your Saturday night babysitter, I have so many wonderful memories of the girls and remember with such fondness your entire family. Lissa will forever be that beautiful, sweet little girl I knew. Those were good days. Thinking of all of you.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of Lissa.
I haven't seen Lissa in years but knew
her long ago. She worked in my daycare
and was an extension of "family". Very sad
for all. My sincere condolences.

Oh man! Just heard about Lissa’s passing. We all grew up together and were constantly in each others pockets as we lived next door to the Hammond’s. My sincere and utmost condolences to the whole family. The DeWitt clan is in shock. Love and hugs to you all.

I’m so sad and heartbroken for the Hammond family and was shocked to hear about Lissa’s passing. I grew up with her as kids and felt a sincere crack in my heart with the news. I’ll never forget the first day I met Lissa when Freddie brought her over to meet the new kids who moved in next door. We got stationed in the basement with coloring books and crayons and after shy introductions we got to work choosing colors and comparing techniques as if those were indications to how we might get along. Well we did, and we shared countless memories of following each other back and forth from the path between our houses to play or set up sleepovers or just chat on the front steps. Lissa was so easy going once you broke through the shy part and then, well those who knew her well would know, she was a spitfire! She loved jokes and games and her laughter is one of my fondest memories I’ll have of her. When we’d tell stories around the kitchen table and you’d glance at her and see either the side eye, eyebrow raise and inevitably the broad smile, you knew she had found the hilarious irony in whatever was being discussed. Cue the laughter. And she had that cute snickering laugh that eventually exploded and then everyone would be laughing. Many of my Hammond family memories were of being ok right where you were and that you were loved, and I truly know that Lissa felt loved by her amazing family who all hold a special place in my heart. I’m not kidding, but just today I randomly picked up a fallen paper and it was from Lissa with her name in bold print and I thought about her. I know now she was reaching out and I’m grateful that I was privileged to call her my friend and go through all those kid moments with her. I’m blessed because she touched my heart and that’s something we can carry with us always. Bless you Lissa. And please know I’m holding you all close to my heart as you adjust and create new life memories with your beautiful angel always close by. ❤️

My sincere condolences to the Hammond family. Lissa was such a sparkplug, full of laughter and smiles whenever she saw any of us, Julia's friends, in and outside of school. My heart is with you all.

I was heartbroken to hear of Lissa’s passing. She was such a dear friend in high school and I’ll always treasure all of the laughs and adventures we had together. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I hope that, with time, the pain of her loss will be eased by the many memories she left behind.

I am so sad to hear of Lissa's passing. We were classmates, and reconnected briefly online after high-school. The world is not as bright in her absence.
