Dear Don, Children, and Grandchildren, Friends and Family:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Diane on March 11 , 2016. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but at 68 years of age, it was too soon to leave. Even though I did not know Diane personally, please accept my deepest sympathy in this second year of your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Sacred Writings that bring continuing comfort, thoughts that others have shared with me when I lost loved ones.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves ... and us. (Job 14:4)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sicknesses like Parkinson's, cancer, and death--not God (Job 1:19 & 2:6). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the Sovereign Lord Jehovah assures us that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Diane (and countless millions of others) will be resurrected to enjoy it! (Isaiah 55:10-11). Remember Job's expectation, "If an able-bodied man/woman dies, can he/she live again!' he asked, knowing full well the answer (Yes!). Job continues: "All the days of my compulsory service (asleep in death) I shall wait, until my relief comes. You, God, will call (to me in the grave) and I myself (shall awaken) and answer. For the work of your hands (me) you will have a yearning." (Job 14:14-15) Until then Diane, Rest In Peace.
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and healthy Diane.
