George N. Butler, Jr., 87, of 1609 Albring Rd., Skaneateles, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at University Hospital. Syracuse. Born in Brutus, NY he was the son of the late George N. and Nettie (Mills) Butler, Sr. George was a graduate of Weedsport High School and was a proud Army Airforce veteran serving from 1947 to 1967. He retired from Welch Allyn where he worked for over 25 years , retiring at the age of 65.
He is survived by his wife Betty Albring Butler of Skaneateles; a son John (Alice) Butler of Moravia; three grandchildren Tiffany DeWitt, Jessica Butler and Ashley Smith and by three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sisters, Shirley, Betty and Nancy and by his three brothers, James William and Donald.
It was George's wishes not to have calling hours and private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial with military honors will be in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, NY.
