Donald F. Heath, 84, of 112 Cayuga St., Seneca Falls, passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at The Commons on St. Anthony Street following a brief stay. Born in Auburn, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Mary Etta (Ramsey) Heath. Donald retired from the NYS Thruway where he worked in road and bridge maintenance for many years. He was a past Master and member of the Auburn Masonic Lodge, a member of the Warren Salem Masonic Lodge and a member of the Auburn Shriners. He enjoyed fishing and boating on Cayuga Lake and was happiest spending time with family and friends. Donald was a volunteer EMT for the Cayuga Fire Department and and a member and volunteer of the Red Jacket Fire Department in Seneca Falls. He was a communicant of St. Peter & John Episcopal Church in Auburn. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Sally Stewart Heath; three loving daughters, Marsha (John) Reed, Connie (Charlie) Swenson and Linda (Doug) Jones; a brother Eugene (Shirley) Heath; a sister Ina Chambers; 11 grandchildren 11 great - grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son William D. Heath, "Billy" in 2012 and by several brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to visit the family on Thursday, July 7 from 10 to 11am at St. Peter & John Episcopal Church. A memorial service follows at 11amand all are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to The Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Dr., Auburn, NY 13021 or to The Alzheimers Association (Rochester and Finger Lakes Region), 435 East Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620 in memory of Donald.
