Dear John, James, Jean-&-Edward, Joel-&-Carol, and Family and Friends:
I was saddened to learn of the death of Mabel on October 15, 2016. It is sad to lose a loved one in death at any age, but prayerfully at 90 years of age, it can be said of Mabel what was said of Isaac at Genesis 25:39 "she died old and satisfied with days." Even though I did not know Mabel personally, please accept my deepest sympathy at your loss.
I would like to share with you some verses from the Bible that bring comfort, thoughts that others have shard with me when I lost loved ones, especially my parents.
First, it was never our Creator's purpose that anyone should die, ever! When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, they had the prospect of endless life in ageless bodies, in perfect health, on a perfect Earth (Genesis 1:28). Adam and Eve could have passed that life on to us, but they sinned and lost everything for themselves, ... and us. (Romans 5:12)
Next, it comforted me and softened my feelings toward Jehovah God to learn that it is Satan who causes aging, sickness and death--not God (Hebrews 2:14). Long before He created humans, the Creator already had all the angels He wanted in heaven (Job 38:7).
Finally, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are our guarantees that this Earth will yet be a peaceful, global paradise and that Mabel (and countless millions of others, including Matthew, William and Eleanor) will be resurrected to enjoy it! Remember Jesus's words at John 5:28-29a and John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life," and "all those in the memorial tombs ... will be resurrected."
May you have comfort and peace from these promises until the day when you can be reunited with a young and beautiful Mabel. And, ... If you would ever like to know more about when and how our Creator Jehovah will bring about these wonderful blessings (or why He has allowed sickness, suffering and death since Adam and Eve sinned so long ago), please feel free to contact me at the address below.
With deepest sympathy and genuine respect,
Harolyne Grant

I am sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the hope found in God's word the Bible. "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it." Jehovah (god's name) promises to destroy death, and the suffering it brings. He promises to bring those who have died back to life. May this ease the pain of your loss.

Bunny and I were classmates at Mt,. Holyoke and she was one of my bridesmaids when my husband, George (who died in 1998) were married. We kept in touch and one year when we were visiting California surprised Bunny with a visit to the May Store where she was working. I had not heard from Bunny in the past two years although Christmas letters to her home in Upland were not returned and so I did not know what might have happened. She and I were both Italian and two of the few Catholic girls on campus. We went to mass together at the Little Flower Chapel, about three miles from college where if the bus didn't come by we "bummed" a ride. We double dated, had such fun at college and my memories of Bunny are happy ones. I am heartbroken with the news of her passing because from a personal standpoint I am the last of our group of college friends to be alive. I send my love and sympathy to all of Bunny's children and grandchildren and want them to know I still am able to go to daily mass and will remember Bunny there for many weeks. I will be 90 next July and regret I am unable to drive to Auburn to pay my respects and say a final farewell to a long time dear friend. Barbara C. Bernard
