I worked with Dick for quite a few years as a Pharmacy Tech. We worked together at Owasco Pharmacy and at the Auburn Correctional Facility. I moved from Auburn in 2010. I was very sad to find out that Dick has passed away almost 6 years ago.
I feel very lucky to have known such a wonderful man.
Rest in Peace my friend

I worked at ACF where I met Dick. He was always very kind and thoughtful. Very nice man. Will miss seeing he and Barb walking in the neighborhood. Good people.
Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.❤️

DICK was a wonderful man and a great addition to our family over the years. We valued his opinion and loved him and will missed so much. It’s hsrd to believe he is gone, but we know he is at peace. Glad of that and will try to adjust. Know it’s not going to be easy but we will try and think of him and his wisdom over this type of force. RIP Dick!

Dick was one of the 1st fellow Pharmacists I met, when I arrived in Auburn in 1983, to begin my career with Fay's Drug Store. Right away, Dick and I became fast friends, sharing our passions for running, racquetball and our Professions. He was such a good man, kind and generous, honest and hard-working and oh so darn smart. I remember, one time after he had left working for Fay's. A couple of us (Pharmacists) were stumped on an "old time" compounded mixture. In unison, we said, "let's call Dick at the Prison (Pharmacy), he'll know, he knows and remembers everything!!".. Sure enough, he set us straight on our way.
Later on, I left Fay's and went to work for Dick at Auburn Corr.Facility. He was the Best Boss I have ever had. He always backed me up, quick with giving credit and complimenting a job well done, and he fought hard for all the right reasons (another good lesson learned from him) He treated me as his co-worker-no bossy airs about him. We made a perfect team!
He had a great interest in many areas and shared what he knew and taught me so much. I remember one such conversation about Deepak Chopra,"quantum healing"&alternative medicine-boy, was that chat deep!...He had an intelligent sense of humor with the greatest little snicker and grin.
Later on, he faced some very serious and disheartening health issues. He dealt with them with such courage, you would never have known it when you saw him, as he always had a enthusiastic greeting and smile on his face and "snicker"to follow.
I was lucky to choose opening night at the Merry-Go-Round Theater, as Dick and Barb were there too. I loved catching up with them before each show. As always, that big grin was ready to smile upon me.
I am so, so sad that my "Good Ole Buddy Ole Pal" is no longer here, I still can't believe it. I know in my heart, I was so Blessed to know this wonderful man, work with him,and many times- lose at Racquetball to him! I hang tight to many glorious memories... I MISS You "Dickie-Doodles" ..Love ya, Grace
