Dear Carolyn, Bethany & Marcus,
I'm very sorry to hear about Mark's passing. He was a dear friend, a great golfer and an even better family man. I played many rounds of golf with him and enjoyed his company immensely. Please take comfort in knowing he talked about you all often with great love and affection. Mark was a model husband and father, he will be missed by many at his beloved Highland.

My condolences to Mark's wife and family. I was a boyhood friend of Mark's. Together with Bill and Chip, we had many youthful misadventures. Although an avid golfer, it must be remembered that Mark was an excellent ballplayer (pitcher and first baseman). I fondly recall his passion for the game whether playing against him in Little League or with him at Herman Ave or in the Babe Ruth League (Alco). Rest in Peace Mark!

Carolyn and Family,
I used to work at the dental office your family still goes to. I am so sorry for the loss of Mark. He was always fun and a joy to see him in the office. Great sense of humor. Great stories. Always a gentleman. All of you are in my thoughts at this difficult time. May God bless all of you and keep you in His care. Rest in peace Mark.

I used to babysit Bethany and Markus back in the day. It was a pretty easy job because this is a family of great people. They are very warm and kind, and this is a terrible loss. I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing, and I'm thinking of them. We could use more people like Mark. <3

Please accept my condolences for your loss. Mark was my first best friend, as we grew up together on East Genesee St. I remember cutting through the back yards, to ring the bell of his back door to ask if he could come out to play, as early as 3 years old. We stayed buds until college set us apart. We went through all of the ups-and-downs of life that the 50s and 60s had to offer two young boys, learning and having fun along the way. All of the trouble that we got into at St. Alphonsus school with the nuns and priests, being thrown out of the Palace Theater during Saturday afternoon horror flicks, and the discovery of girls, while skating at Hoopes Park. Most of all, we loved to laugh and share all of the experiences of our pre-adult lives.

I worked with Mark for many years and always enjoyed his company. He was a great story teller, very smart, and if his supervisors listened to him they would have had a much more efficient operation. He treated everyone fairly, and recognized the people he supervised as unique individuals.
I want to thank Mark for reigniting my interest in golf back in the early 90’s, he was always willing to play with golfers who were no where near him in ability but offered encouragement and optimism. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To the Salomon family, I'm sadden to hear of the passing of Mark. He was the best supervisor I have ever had the privileged to worked with. I say "with" because Mark always said we work together, we don't work "for" someone. He was also a mentor and great friend to me and my mother. I'll miss him very much. My sincerest condolences to you Carolyn and Bethany and Markus. My heart aches. terry
ps; I bet Mark, if he could read this, would want to correct my grammar.

We are very sorry to learn of Mark's (Sully's) passing. He was such a wonderful and generous person who helped us in our time of need with his expertise. Sully was always happy to see us and he lit up the room when he smiled. Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to family and friends during this time of grief. You are all in our thoughts and prayers

Mark and I were HS and neighborhood friends.
Skating at Hoopes, hanging at my home, football games. It wasn’t until I read my yearbook that I realized he had wanted to be girlfriend/boyfriend.
Some of the sweetest words ever said to me.
Funny, we worked in similar fields as well. I am so glad knowing his character remained true throughout his life and that he had a loving family. Rest in Peace my friend. Lori C
