There are too many memories of Charles to list. I will always remember the times we spent together watching sporting events or old westerns, eating meals or cookies, visiting new places or exploring old ones. I greatly enjoyed all the visits we had and all the good times we had laughing at the old stories he would tell. He was such a great person, and I will miss him greatly. Trips to NY will not be the same. Rest in peace, Charles. Until we meet again.

I will dearly miss Brother Charles Mapley!! He was like a father to me. He always lent a helping hand even when it required physical hard labor. He helped so much with my yard (The Candlelight House) this past spring/summer. He gave me tomatoes that he had that were extras so I could start my own garden. He wanted to give all the time and make sure you where happy and anything he could do to help he would do. He loved working with the missionaries and would never pass up a moment to be with them or share his testimony. He new when someone needed help and stepped write in. One time he helped me cut and tape up decoration streamers that I was running out of time to get up for our Relief Society Birthday at the church so it would be done in time for the Sisters to see when they first walked in. Thank you for the time I forgot the lemonade and sprite for a church event and you saved the day by stepping in and saying I’ll grab it for you! He loved talking about his grandkids to me and going to Buffalo Bills games with his son. He loved football and a good meal at the buffet watching the horses race. He was the kindest man. I’m so sorry for your loss but his light will shine on through all the kindness he has given to so many people! I will miss seeing your smile at church as I walked through the door and your wonderful “Hello Sister Andam, how are you today.” Im so honored I got to know you and for all that you did for me and the people around you. Charles you will be missed, until we meet again my friend!
Love to all the family,
Emily Andam

Charley (my mape) How I will miss you. You have been a part of my life for 50 years. First met you when I was waitress and you were on bowling league. As time passed we stayed friends. Somehow later when we were both single our friendship grew into love. I have loved you ever since. I cannot believe you are gone. Part of my heart went with you. You were the rock in my life. Even after I moved to Georgia due to circumstances going on in my life. Our love stayed , we talked daily I do not what to do with my life without you in it. My heart has an emptiness in it. I have to keep reminding myself that you are out of pain and that you are in a better place. I love you Mape always.
