I have known Jack from days as a classmate at Holy Family and Mount Carmel. When most of us were playing after hours, he was devoted to his books. He was well rounded, a good athlete and liked by all. We hunted together in high school. Imagine today, we would bring our guns to school and put them in our lockers to hunt after school was out. Jack was Best Man in our wedding and his gift to Katie and I was our Will. Not only was he our lawyer both personal and business, but often an adviser on personal issues. We have lost a life long friend that will be forever missed by our family.

Dear McLane Family,
I extend my sincere condolences. I have so many memories of Jack. He was a positive influence on me both professionally and personally. His smile and laugh were infectious--so genuine, so warm. The fastest two-finger typist I've ever witnessed. I picture Kathy greeting him, ready with her own big smile and a toast, and perhaps a fishing pole, too. I will always hold Jack in the highest esteem. I pray your memories will ease your sadness. May Jack rest sweetly and gently.

I grew up with Jack on Tuxhill Square, although he was three years older he didn’t want to have much to do with me at the time. I remember that he had good conversations with my father, who was a good client of Ed Boyle for many years. Fast forward to 2014 when my middle sister died. Jack and I reunited as I was her co-executor. He more than ably, and with a few extras, dealt with her estate and made our lives so much easier. My youngest sister just died last October; and although he was just about to retire, he once again started us in the right direction. I won’t go into the details, but his last email to me was “don’t die”. I will miss him. He was a good man. Frank Moore
