Maura Cuddy Kehoe, 83, formerly of Auburn, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at her home in Rochester. Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late George and Florence Young Cuddy. Maura was a graduate of Good Counsel College in White Plains, NY and was formerly employed at Kodak. She retired in 1991 from the Departments of Radiation Biology and Biophysics at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she was employed for over 20 years as a programmer / analyst concentrating on research and systems administration, and later in the Department of Pharmacology. Maura's husband of 62 years, Bill, recalls that he never heard Maura or any of her family members speak negatively about anyone, a unique and special characteristic that he wanted to share. Her husband noted, "Maura excelled at virtually every task that she ever attempted." She was dedicated to her family and had many wide, varied interests which she successfully pursued. She attended Holy Family Church, and attended Holy Family schools from first through twelfth grade. Surviving is her husband William J. Kehoe of Rochester; six children Michael (Kate) of Rochester, Ellen Schwartz of Maryland, Cathleen Kehoe of Rochester, Patrick (Margaret) of Rochester, Maureen Kehoe of New Jersey, and Devon (Tamra) of Oregon; a brother Judge James (Laila) Cuddy of Auburn; two sisters Ellen (Robert) Loretan of Florida and Mary (Simon) St. Laurent of Corning; 12 grandchildren, Siobhan, John, Colleen, Marissa, Alex, Brendan, Claire, Mia, Tessa, Webster, Callan, and Mae, and many nieces and nephews. Maura was predeceased by a sister, Nora (Nan) Costello, and by a brother-in-law, Jack Costello. Calling hours Wednesday 3-6pm with a funeral on Thursday at 11am at Holy Family Church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, Financial Management Branch, Building 31, Room 8A34, 31 Center Drive, MSC 2540, Bethesda, MD 20892-2540 in memory of Maura.
